This has been raved so much. Second after Banila Co’s Cleansing balms, I’d say.
But I didn’t get their clean it zero because I was more interested in trying Heimish’s all clean balm.
And knowing what I’d get, this was the first thing I grabbed when I went into A Land ???? in Myeongdong.
It’s a place that sells lots of COSRX, iunik, and other more indie brands. They sell Heimish makeup there too. I recommend going to COEX’s A Land if you want to check them out. I find that they have a larger range of products there. Including more clothes, bags and accessories.
Now let’s begin, shall we?
What: Heimish All Clean Balm

Look & Feel
This came in a sturdy white jar which has two ways of opening it.
Either way, (twisting or popping the cap) you’ll arrive at the same view of a spatula and an extra cover over the actual product. (I’ll show more in application below.)
Swipe all the way to see my untouched product when I haven’t used it. Ignore the small dent ???? must have happened when I took the cover out.
It looks like candle wax tbh.
Here you can see the box that they provided as well. I really love their design and colours used ????
Application
This was pretty simple. You use the spatula, grab an appropriate amount.
You don’t need too much, trust me.
The first few times I used so much, but I tried reducing a little the next time and it worked the same.
I can’t explain how this texture is like but you might be able to imagine it from the images.
I say that because when I touched it the first time, it was exactly how I thought it’ll feel. ????
Anyway, the scent of this isn’t exactly pleasant to me.
It doesn’t smell like any fragrance. If you have to know, it smells raw. Almost industrial-like.
I mentioned this on my instagram caption in the post above and I got some similar responses as well.
So I know I might not have a defect haha.
They do say that they have no fragrance so that’s that. I don’t need fragrance in my makeup removers, so that’s fine.
But for those of you who like smelling something nice while removing your makeup, this might not give you that.
One other thing that I noticed was that the texture of this got softer and easier to emulsify after the first 3 uses.
It could be due to the exposure of air or humidity in my bathroom whenever I open it, no idea but I don’t think it affected the product in its efficiency.
I’ve got no issues with it being softer because the first few times, it was kind of hard trying to soften and warm up some of the bits with my fingers while they were slightly harder.
It’s much easier now, no complaints.
However, then comes the question of “Does it remove makeup completely?”.
I would say that it removes a good amount. Not entirely, especially the edges of the face and they usually have remnants of makeup, near the hairline.
I don’t use this to remove sunscreen so I can only provide my thoughts on makeup.
For sunscreen, I use the Bio Essence Bio-water micellar water.

After using the balm, I finish up with either my KraveBeauty cleanser or the innisfree green tea cleansing gel-to-foam.
It depends on whether my makeup is removed mostly or if they still have some residue, respectively.

After all this, I have two gripes about this product.
It’s troublesome having to wash the spatula after each use (with soap) and making sure the cover inside isn’t wet. I like to keep things dry.
I don’t like to dig my fingers into the tub for something like this.
This means the extra step of using a tissue to remove the droplets of water.
The other gripe is the extra cover to open.
I have to open the cap, then the cover inside while holding the spatula.
I hold the spatula (clean from previous use) because I don’t want to leave it somewhere in the bathroom and have to wash it again because it’s not ‘clean’. ????
These reasons were what made me not reach for it as much as I wanted to.
Yes
- 120 ml is a lot
- Packaging is beautiful
- Affordable
- Melts makeup rather well (not 100%, maybe 90-95%)
- Ease of availability (online)
- No irritation from it
- Removes mascara well
- Claims to be hypoallergenic
- Coconut, lime, rose, jasmine, lily, freesia extract to name a few
- Has shea butter and tea tree oil
No
- Bulky and heavy, easy to slip and drop
- Lots of extra steps
- Smell isn’t exactly pleasant
- Doesn’t wash off very easily sometimes even with lukewarm water
- Lots of essential oils – might be allergic to some people
Am I Repurchasing?
Sadly not. If I have to choose the order of my makeup remover choices: it’ll be cleansing oil > micellar water > cleansing wipes > cleansing balms.
Mainly for the reason that I don’t like using spatulas or digging into jars if possible.
You could be different! Haha but I do want to try the Then I Met You cleansing balm. ???? although I heard that it smells like licorice from Joan’s video lolol.
