Today, I’m bringing with me the only primer/sunscreen/fixer that has significantly helped my makeup last longer.
I’ve used Urban Decay’s All-Night makeup setting sprays (2 bottles) but it’s funny that till now, I’m not too sure how well that actually worked.
I never noticed like a “WOW makeup, flawless, super long lasting!” but with this product, it did make me think that!
I’ll begin the review right now!
What: moonshot Multi Protection UV Fixer SPF 50+ PA+++
Price: 25,000 won
Weight: 40 ml / 1.35 fl. oz
Period-After-Opening: 12 months
From the Moonshot website,
“NO NEED TO HIDE UNDER THE SUN ANYMORE!”
SPF 50+ PA+++ perfectly blocks the sun, enhances adherence and longevity of the makeup, Sunscreen face primer with fixing effect.
Moonshot
From the ingredients list, this is a physical sunscreen, not a chemical one. So you can apply this and leave the house without waiting for 30 minutes!

Look & Feel
The box, can I just say, IS SO BEAUTIFUL. It literally glitters from all direction. Love their packaging.
Also, please read the words in the last picture lol. They are pretty humorous haha.
This is the actual product! It has a pump (hygienic yay!), and I actually thought it was a spray before I got it lol. Because fixer to me sounded like a setting spray haha.
Can I also say that the black and pink here reminds me of Blackpink lol, not sure if it’s a coincidence but yeah, Blackpink are models of moonshot too!
Application
On the left, you can see that it is applied and blended in already.
Although, they did mention about the brightening / tone-up effects, the pink actually doesn’t stand out at all. It probably only shows up 5% after you blend it out.
That part of it wasn’t much of a con for me though, as I wasn’t looking to use this as a colour corrector.
The SMELL, however, might put some people off. It smells like the sunblock you use when you go swimming?
I remember going to the pool and lathering those sunblocks on my body and that smell just never gets out of my memory so I guess you can say this was nostalgic to apply for me LOL.
It doesn’t linger for me though. Could be that the other products on my face covered it up.
Do note that the ingredients list, which I copied word for word because the ones on the internet weren’t accurate (??), and also the amount in this product is 40 ml, everywhere said 50 ml when this bottle only really holds 40 ml so don’t get tricked okay!
Back to the ingredients, I noticed a lot of dimethicone inside but the texture of this wasn’t exactly primer-like per se. It also has niacinamide inside and if your skin doesn’t react well to that product, do be aware.
It spreads really easily, comes out a bit thicker than you expect and I only really need about 2 pumps of this for my whole face.
It doesn’t dry matte, but rather slightly tacky? I feel it’s a perfect base to use foundation on top. I don’t recommend you to use a matte foundation on top though. Your dry patches might surface.
The foundation I was using is the Nature Republic Provence Air Skin Fit One Day Lasting Foundation (reviewed).
I must say first, the first time I tried this, my skin felt a little tight, not sure why but that was the only time I experienced it. After that, everything was fine.
I do also use this as a sunscreen btw, although people always say that you shouldn’t use makeup bases as your main sunscreen, but I feel like I do apply enough to consider this as my sun protection.
Oh yeah, I did an experiment with this.
I used KraveBeauty’s Beet the Sun (reviewed) on one side of my face as a control and I used this product on the other side.
Applied my foundation, powder, makeup as per normal and headed out to let everything sit to see how well it helped my makeup.
After 12 hours, it was so obvious that the KraveBeauty side was much oilier than this moonshot side. I tried to take a picture, but my iPhone 7 just shows oiliness on both sides.
12 hours later, it’s hard not to expect oil especially when I’ve got oily combo skin (also dehydrated). However, in person, I could clearly see the difference.
Even on my forehead! The moonshot side was looking slightly more matte (still oily but not as oily) than the KraveBeauty side.
As Beet the Sun was never meant to make your makeup last super long with it, it was normal to see. I like applying foundation on top of that sunscreen btw.
On days when I need my makeup to last a little longer, I’d usually use this instead.
Now to sum this review up!
Yes
- No breakouts or irritations from it
- Makeup really last long on my skin (12-14 hours)
- Great for oily skin types
- Pump type, hygienic
No
- Price is a little steep if purchased outside of Korea (I bought it in Korea)
- Have to wipe the nozzle after use sometimes
- Smell is a bit strong
- Ingredients seem a bit too long for my liking
- 40 ml is pretty little
- Dry skin types should avoid
Am I Repurchasing?
I’m really not too sure. It works definitely, but the amount and the price I pay for doesn’t seem to match. But if I can’t find another product that works as good, I probably will go back to this!
