If you’ve been following me for quite a while, you’ll know that I did a review of the Fenty Beauty Foundation and said that I liked it.
It was S$50 in Sephora though, so when I was in Korea, I was kind of on a search for a liquid foundation that would work in hot and humid weather with an affordable price.

Just nice that Nature Republic actually launched this new product over there sometime in end March-April.
Small Backstory:
When I was at the store looking for foundations, a staff came over to refer me to this new product.
(Obviously, I was thinking, “It’s a new product, that’s why you’re promoting it to me. I won’t fall for this trick. HAH.)
Somehow, she tried it on my hands telling me about how it’s good for my oily skin yada yada. And I gradually fell for it!
She ended up saying, “잠깐만요~” (jam-kkan-man-yo), asking me to wait for a moment.
Then she came back with cotton pads soaked in makeup remover and a sanitised makeup puff.
Guess what she did next? Yes. Okay, she just went on to remove my Fenty Beauty Foundation on half of my face before applying this product.
I was pleasantly surprised at the coverage and finish it gave with so little product! I’ll go on more below as we go along!
(Even my boyfriend liked how the foundation looked – coming from a person who doesn’t like heavy makeup on me)
Anyway, one gripe about this foundation is that the name is TOO FREAKING LONG.

Guys… I cannot find an English ingredients list on the web. So I took the box that came with it and typed it down word for word.
It’s pretty long lol so read it even if you’re not interested – forgive me if there were typos.
Haha kidding. (My eyes are tired and I’m bad with chemical names lol)
Anyway, after typing the ingredients, I realised there are a lot of flower, fruit and leaf extracts.
Such as Hibiscus Flower, Lavender Flower, Peppermint, Rosemary and even Thyme?? I wasn’t expecting Thyme haha.
You can read the (painstakingly typed) ingredients list if you’d like!

Look & Feel
Thankfully the ingredients were in English haha. You can click to view a larger image.
And this was the actual product! A simple glass packaging with a plastic top and a pump. I got the colour Y23 Warm Beige, which was recommended and it suits my skin pretty well.
There are a total of 4 shades at the moment. If you google it, you’d be able to find all 4 shades. But to make things easier, I captured this image off www.naturerepublic.com and translated the colours.
It doesn’t turn out that dark in the photo but I’ll just show it to you on my skin.
Application
Here’s the application of it on my hands:
Before I show you how it looks on my skin, I’ll let you know that my before skin is with no primer, just my usual skincare (with a new moisturiser I’m trying) and KraveBeauty’s Beet the Sun.
I’m usually the darkest colour in Korean foundation shades, a number 23.
I’m 140 Light Warm in Fenty Beauty’s Foundation though. Check out my other foundation shades in the side profile of my blog!
Also, I used a flat foundation brush to spread the product evenly before using a dry triangular sponge to blend it.
The staff used the usual blue Korean cushion foundation puff and it looks like it applied great with it.
But I don’t have that puff with me at the moment so I used the triangular sponge that was given as a promotion when I bought this in Korea.
P.S: They gave 90 pieces of it LOL.

Here’s my before picture:
Skin isn’t perfect but it got a lot better with using The Ordinary Serum. Using an iPhone 7 to take these pictures, excuse the quality.
(If you’re new, you can see my hyperpigmentation prior to using that serum in the review below)

Please excuse the lighting (and my textured skin 🙁 ) because they were all obviously taken at different timings. I tried my best to adjust it as close as possible so you can get the idea.
As you can see, it pretty much covered 90% of my blemishes, I didn’t use concealer on that day. I usually do but it’s just spot concealing.
It dries soft but comfortably dewy but I usually powder it anyway to soften the textures on my skin. It also feels lightweight on my skin.
After the staff applied it on me, I told her I’ll think about it after walking the whole day to see how it wears.
And I went ahead to a Nature Republic store the next day to get it lol.
Important note: I wore this in Korea to test it out in the humidity then and didn’t even wear powder but it didn’t slip and slide. And somehow didn’t look too oily on me. If you’ve been to beauty stores with harsh lightings, you’d know about how unflattering your skin looks in the mirror when you take a glance. BUT when I wear this, I look great. Like you can’t tell that my skin is very bad because the coverage was good.
I had it on for 14 hours this time in Singapore and you can see that the coverage didn’t decrease a lot. On pictures, it looks obvious but somehow in person and while looking in the mirror, my foundation still looks great.
My oil peeked through on the 3-4th hour and after I pat it with a tissue, it didn’t look weird or anything.
There would usually be ugly patches on my nose by 11pm (like with the Fenty Beauty Foundation) but it still looks fine!
Hey, even my blusher is still there at the end of the day. It usually disappears lol. I’m sure the One Day Lasting part is true haha.
It oxidises a little and it doesn’t happen throughout the day like some foundations. In fact, it happens a few minutes right after you blend it.
It doesn’t look too off so it was alright for me.
Scent-wise, it smells really good to me. Probably from the Fragrance inside but it’s a different kind of pleasant smell.
Somewhat florally, but not overwhelming.

Am I Repurchasing?
Yeah I really want to. I would if I had to choose one foundation for my whole life.
But as a beauty blogger, I would be trying other foundations for you guys!
(Just not yet haha. I don’t like to have more than 2 foundations.)
I also wanted to try out The Face Shop’s Double Lasting Foundation but I’ve heard mixed reviews about it and decided against it even though they cost the same.
Overall Rating:
And that’s all from me today. Hope you liked my review! If you have any questions, just shoot them to me.
