Hey all!
Hope you’ve been doing well. Since my last post, there has been lots of issues happening around the world.
With the coronavirus also looking to be stabilising slightly with the numbers we’re looking at (in my country), hope that everyone still stays safe and adhere to your respective rules and measures for everyone’s sake.
So it’s the mid of June! Somehow, we’re only 6 months away from Christmas and the end of 2020.
As I mentioned briefly previously, my domain (a.k.a. my blog) ends in November 2020.
I am still thinking if I should extend for another 3 years. We shall see 🙂
Today’s review will be of a moisturiser! Honestly, I thought very simply of this moisturiser but I am overall very satisfied with it!
What: Pyunkang Yul Moisture Cream
Price: S$25.50 (from Shopee)
Weight: 100 ml
Period-After-Opening: 12 months
Also, I posted about Mental Health last month and if you’re interested, you can click the below link! It should open in a new tab 🙂

I shared this post on Instagram back in end February and I suppose it’s been almost 4 months of using it every day.
Read my previous review: Review | ILLIYOON Ceramide Ato Lotion
As you can probably see from the texture, it looks really smooth and creamy.
I’ll elaborate more on the texture as we go through the review 🙂
Look & Feel
This little jar actually holds 100ml of product, twice of the Mamonde Ceramide Light Cream that I really like.
Since it had such a big amount (in general for facial moisturisers), I wanted to see how long I could use it for.
The Mamonde one finished pretty quickly for me, though it was very good.

They had given a mini transparent spatula but like always, I gave up using it 1 – 2 weeks in LOL.
Though I make sure to wash my hands before I use it.
This little glass jar is also slightly heavy (cover is plastic – there is also another layer of plastic cover before the moisturiser but it ended up stuck to my cover haha), do be careful when holding it.
Pretty sure it’s not a pretty sight when it actually drops to the floor haha.
Application
Do excuse the difference in skin colour but note the skin texture after blending it.
If you’re finding it hard to see a difference, then you’re not wrong.
This moisturiser has a creamy texture but in that, I find it is slightly more hydrating than moisturising.
That’s not to say that it does not moisturise my skin.
It moisturises just the right amount that my skin doesn’t look oily or feel tacky after it settles.
After it truly sets, I touch my face and it does not feel like I had anything on.
If you have a boyfriend (or friends who don’t like using moisturisers in their routine) that has ‘sensitive, acne-prone or oily skin’, you can try recommend this to them.
It also claims to be a non-greasy and non-sticky formula, which is probably why it felt like it on my face.
Being a combo oily skin, I personally did not feel tight or dry just because it settled on my skin that way.
Before trying this, I was honestly a little skeptical due to the fact that it’s almost like a creamy gel texture. I was afraid that it could either be just a very lightweight or a slightly heavy cream for my skin.
After trying it, I was glad I decided to try it.
Some notes on this cream:
- It does not have much of a smell despite being fragrance-free
- Do not apply to much to your face, recommend to adjust as you go to find the right amount
- You will know it’s too much when there are white streaks on your face while trying to blend it
- It should blend easily if applied with the right amount
- If you have dry skin, this might not be enough
My recent skincare routine goes like this:
The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA (still testing this, used only at night) > Etude House Soon Jung pH 5.5 Relief Toner (basic light toner) > SIORIS Time Is Running Out Mist (reviewed, have only a couple of sprays left) > This cream
P.S. I will not be reviewing the Etude House Soon Jung toner as I feel it is a really basic lightweight toner for all skin types. Nothing much to say about it for me.
Yes
- Lightweight
- Recommended for most skin types, even sensitive ones (except dry)
- Fragrance and colour-free
- Non-irritating
- Not much is needed for each application
- Non-greasy and non-sticky
- No breakouts
No
- May not be moisturising enough for dryer skin types
- Price might be a bit expensive depending on where you get it from
Am I Repurchasing?
Somehow I was comparing the Mamonde Ceramide Light Cream and this while using it but I realised that it is not really comparable.
The Mamonde product is more moisturising than hydrating so it could easily get oily for oilier skin types but I don’t find any issue for this product even if I apply more.
Depending on how you like your moisturiser, they both could be good products if you have a similar skin type like mine (combo oily).
Repurchasing it will be on my mind when I need to come back to a gentle moisturiser.
