Happy Tuesday! I’ve been posting about things to do in Korea so far on my Travel Tuesday entries but today I decided to make it a more relaxing one.
As according to the title, I’ll be bringing you along with me to the Skinfood Cafe in Garosugil, Seoul!
My boyfriend and I were in the Garosugil area and I mentioned the night before about visiting some cafes in Garosugil.
I knew there was a Skinfood cafe but I totally forgot and just when we were nearing the area, my boyfriend told me.
Although he wasn’t a fan of visiting cafes just for their vibes (HAHA), he told me if it was a nice place, I could introduce it to you guys!
And here it is! I really think it’s a beautifully decorated place and you’d be able to see for yourself.

So far, I’ve got a little of Japan and Korea 🙂
This place was somewhere in Garosugil. It isn’t very hard to find because it’s right beside the main road.
Garosu-gil actually means tree-lined street, and this street has many things to see.
There are restaurants, cafes, high and mid end clothing stores and also beauty shops.
It has a very relaxing vibe and it somehow feels like a Sunday whenever I visit Garosu-gil.
So while my boyfriend raised up about this cafe just when I said we should go somewhere else, we used Google maps to see how near we were.
And it was just right in front of us, a block away. Lol.
We headed on over and this was how it looked on the outside!
These yellow-lined borders were hard to miss and there are 3 floors to this cafe.
Skinfood, their roots of this beauty brand dated back to 1957!
When you step in, the first floor would be all the makeup and skincare products available from Skinfood, the brand itself.
Although it seems very warm-looking, the staff didn’t look as welcoming haha.
As usual, I felt the employees working in beauty stores look very cold.
They have a phrase that they use a lot in stores that goes like “If you are finding any product, please let us know / If you need help, please let us know”.
And they repeat it over and over again so if you’re in the store for about 10 minutes, I don’t think you could count how many times they say that aloud.
Btw, this store didn’t do it but I was just explaining what you were wondering if you hear employees saying something in Korean haha.
I was the only customer when I stepped in and I felt lost and didn’t want to look around too much.
I asked the female staff about a cafe and she said I had to go upstairs.
Then I realised I didn’t have to step INTO the shop to go up.
There was another entrance where you can directly take the stairs if I’m not wrong but OH WELL.
The board says Peach Mochi Sold Out! (Must be nice?)
And when you step into the second floor, (you’ll be coming in from the right side of this picture) you’ll be able to see how clean and yellow this place was.
No one was at the cafe when I came. Hooray because I could take pictures without people being in them haha.
I ordered a Choco Banana Latte (wanted another drink but he said it wasn’t available…) and it was my first time drinking a Choco Banana Latte.
If you know me irl, I don’t really like banana? I can drink the Korean banana milk but not in this form lol.
So my boyfriend got a shock haha.
It was in a pretty big cup and I barely finished it. For 5,500 won, it’s not bad! And I could drink it. The banana wasn’t too strong.
Sitting in an air-conditioned cafe was so good in that hot summer weather then.
While I was waiting for the drink, I went around taking some pictures.
This was the right side of where I was sitting and that tote bag with 2 men on it?
I actually think that’s their staff (working in the current shift) because I saw his name and it matches the one on the bag lol.
Isn’t it so extensively decorated yet beautiful? It’s in such bright colours that scream ‘HAPPY’.
They also placed some products of theirs which you could test while looking around and I thought it was a good way for customers to casually browse.
On the left, it appears to be a skin analysis machine which isn’t in use at the moment.
But I’d be happy if I could actually find out more about my skin!
After drinking my Choco Banana Latte, we decided to head up to the Third Floor because it was a Skinfood City Farm! Loved how they decorated even the stairs area.
Also, this cafe is right beside Chahong Room (a hair salon that is pretty famous).
Saw a model being photographed outside of it with some Autumn season clothes too.
She must have been drenched from her sweat haha.
Reaching the hot and blazing sun soon.
I’m not sure if this place was properly taken care of but some plants looked really dried up haha.
It was so hot that I stayed about 20 seconds tops. We were even using a umbrella (they provided 2 black umbrellas right before the door) to shield ourselves from the strong UV rays.
It’d be nice if it was maybe in the Spring or Autumn season. Hanging outside here would be so relaxing.
Having brunch here would be good too! They serve different kinds of food like pancakes, toasts and pasta too if I remember correctly.
Not too sure about the prices.
And that’s all for today’s Travel Tuesday 🙂 Hope you liked this!
Have you been to this place? Would you put this in your itinerary to check out when you visit Korea?
