Hey! I’ve recently started my job after graduation (not the official graduation yet though). It’s literally been 3 days since I started at the date of posting haha.
Anyway…
The Bath Theory sent me another of their face mask and this time, it’s the Coffee O Clock Face mask!
Needless to say, I’ve been trying it out. So if you’d like to know how my experience with this went, continue reading!
Do know that I’m not paid to do this review! They didn’t ask for a blog review but I do it anyways haha.

Look & Feel
This works similarly like their Matcha it up face mask.
It comes in a glass jar with all the goodies grinded up into a powder form.
In my previous review of their Matcha It Up Face Mask, I had this card too so I’d thought to share this here together:
Application
I can say that I’ve figured the perfect ratio to get it pasty yet easy to apply.
Though all this depends on how much you put in your teaspoon. Best to start with lesser water, then build it up if you need.
Otherwise, you’d be wasting some of it when you use more than what’s needed for your face.
Application was similar. But I found this to be more messy and pasty than the matcha counterpart.
Some of its powder / paste might fall out while applying, so make sure to do this in the bathroom haha.
For this face mask, I use a 1:1 ratio. Approximately.
Like a teaspoon of powder : a teaspoon of water. You may add a LITTLE more water if you want it to be more liquidy. If it gets slightly too watery but still thicker than water, you may put it in the fridge for a while first.

You only need 3-5 minutes anyway.
I try not to go past 10 minutes because there is clay inside too and i don’t want it to dry my skin even more haha.
Right before I wash it off, I exfoliate a little first. But since it’d have harden slightly, I dampen my hands with water before rubbing my face gently. Add more water whenever needed.
I use this time to massage my face, increasing blood circulation.
Then I wash it off when I feel like I’m done.
Honestly, it doesn’t look nice on your skin because it’s brown ???? but then again, it’s coffee.
I did this mask once at night and my boyfriend complained of the smell, not because it smells bad but because he stopped drinking coffee (the love of his life after me, I hope) and this makes him think about it ????????????
The next day he got a cup of coffee to drink LOL. Still restricting it from his diet for some health reasons but that was a cheat day out of many weeks haha.
Anyway! Stories aside! This smells more of a bitter aromatic coffee rather than the milk coffee aroma.
After all, arabica beans is the first ingredient in this mask.
Plus, they only have 6 other ingredients after that! I really like how they don’t add artificial preservatives or fragrance too.
Once you get this mask, they mentioned to use it within 8 months after opening.
I’m sure you will be able to because there’s only 50g in this and if you do this about once per week, I feel like it can last at least 8-10 weeks.
This mask is actually slightly different in consistency than the Matcha It Up. It’s definitely thicker and pastier.
After washing this off, I do notice that my skin looks more vibrant? Probably because of the coffee inside which helps to increase blood circulation. I know that doing this regularly will help increase your skin’s elasticity, clear your clogged pores and do some extra gentle physical exfoliation too!
Caffeine is rich in antioxidants that also help fight free radicals alongside with wrinkles and fine lines.
Furthermore there’s oats inside as well. Oats in the face mask also helps with moisturising and repairing the skin’s barrier with its Amino Acids when used regularly.
Yes
- Gently exfoliates physically
- Gave me a healthier complexion after using it
- Organic ingredients, no artificial fragrance and parabens
- Local brand
- Didn’t irritate my skin
- Reusable jar
- Ships overseas
- Helps increase blood circulation to skin
- Portable
- Easy to wash off
- Good for all skin types
No
- Messy to use (norm for wash off masks)
- 50g doesn’t seem like it’ll last 25 weeks for me especially since this needs less water to make it pasty = more product needed
- Price-wise, similar to the Matcha It Up: Price may seem too much to a normal consumer (but to me, it’s justifiable because 1. small startup 2. organic 3. handmade)
- Results definitely wouldn’t be lasting, it’s more of a relaxing time to unwind with a pampering session
Am I Repurchasing?
I’m really glad that The Bath Theory decided to send me this to try out. I’ve never tried any coffee-skincare products before so this is a first! Probably not my last as well.
They run discounts from time to time too so if you’d like to seize the chance, follow them to know when they are on sale!
TheBathTheorySG also sells coffee and matcha scrubs (S$11.95) that can be used on your face and body too!
And that’s it for my review today 🙂
